I’ve been eyeing gaiam’s yoga socks for quite awhile, especially after seeing another yogi demo them in class a few months ago at Laughing Lotus. Do they really not slip? Nice comfy socks are right up there on my fine winter things list, right after the crackling fire and the comforter. So it was with a great deal of zest when I tried them on, and wiggled my finely wrapped toes. Sadly, they don’t live up to everything I had hoped it would be. While they were fine in the sitting positions, they’ll slip off during moderately paced sun salutations and/or not move with your feet — distracting.
I can’t imagine how anyone manages to get into these positions with the yoga socks on. Although, frankly I can’t imagine getting into these positions at all, socks or not.
